Drawing is crucial in art education, serving as the foundational language for visual expression and teaching fundamental principles like form, line, and perspective. It enhances observation, fosters creativity, and acts as a versatile medium, bridging the gap between conceptualization and execution in the artistic process. Depending on our creative backgrounds, we, as art teachers, all teach it to our own strengths. Over the years i’ve refined the process to achieve optimal results from students 11-18 years old. There is of course many ways to get excellent results, this is what works for me and my students, hope you find it useful.
